Voki
Put your memorization skills to the test! In this exercise you will visit the Voki site and login with your individual username and password (provided by the instructor).
Once you are logged in you will proceed with the lessons assigned to you. Each lesson is to read, study and memorize a scripture from the Bible. The bible verse to memorize will be assigned to you.
When you are ready to be tested you will create your own unique character and record your scripture by using your laptop/computer with built-in microphone or you can click on the telephone option to be given a toll free number and password to record by telephone. When you are finished recording you can review your recording to make sure it recorded everything or you can re-record if you messed up your scripture memorization. When satisfied save and select Done. Your recording will be saved and ready for the instructor to view.

Take your faith to the book and share the word with your friends. Log in to your personal facebook account and friend "Ashely Produsage Spence". You will want to friend Ashely Produsage Spence so your instructor can monitor your facebook activity. Feel free to post photos, verses, articles, links, or ideas to this page to share with others in our group.

(i.e. a verse that reminds you of your spouse, a verse that represents overcoming a struggle, a verse that elicits faith in an opportunity you're praying about, a verse that glorifies God and reminds you to give thanks, etc.)

Introduction & Overview: Bible Verse Memory Lesson
Welcome to God's Word! This interactive environment was created to help inspire those seeking to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord. To know the Lord is to understand where he came from and what his basis is for the life he has allowed us on this earth. Like any memorization task, learning a play, speech or verse all take practice and focus. Memorizing scripture is no different in the sense that it requires review, practice and a commitment to wanting to know God more.
This tutorial will walk you through different social media arenas to broaden your web-based knowledge in learning God's word. You will explore multiple avenues and participate in activities to assist you in learning the importance of why studying the Bible is an important element in practicing your faith. You'll also provide your own personal insight so that you can put your thoughts, ideas and beliefs to pen and paper (or in this case keys and soft docs) to verbalize your knowledge. The goal of this lesson is to not test how much you already know about the Bible, but to engage you to make Bible education a part of your daily routine and how you can do so in various ways.
Let's get started! To ease your worries of feeling overwhelmed with usernames/passwords or website links all will be provided to you on this blog under the post "Access". On the main blog you will see each activity required of you to complete this lesson addressed in a "new post" (most current post will be at the top). The Bible Gateway Verse of the Day is posted on the main blog daily through an RSS feed.
An important element of this lesson is to understand that bible verse memory is really to benefit YOU and your personal relationship with the Lord! It takes your effort and faith to put this lesson to work for YOU! So with that being said in a real world environment there would be no timeline restrictions to completing the tasks outlined for this lesson. However, so that we can hold you accountable you will be required to participate and complete tasks over a 3-day period. Your activity will be measured by your contributions to posts by commenting, participating in videos/activities.
1. View You Tube video and leave feedback/comment (monitored by instructor).
2. Read 2 articles and leave feedback/comment (monitored by instructor).
3. Follow RSS Bible Gateway Verse of the day feed on main blog.
4. Post a facebook status update with your scripture of choice daily. In your status update relate your chosen scripture to something going on in your life presently. Monitor your facebook friends "Likes" and comments (monitored by instructor).
5. Participate in Voki bible verse memory activity (monitored by instructor).
6. Lastly, participate in blogger poll found on the blog's main page. Your response will help the instructor modify the lesson to maximize the user's learning experience.
Important thing to remember is that this lesson is not meant to add another "to do" to your work load, but it is created to motivate and inspire you to think and act differently, to walk by faith and to know God's word!
