Following the reading reflect on the topic and leave a reply to this post indicating your stance on how you study the word and whether you see studying the word as an individual or group effort, or combined. I personally choose to study the bible in both group and individual settings. Sometimes it's nice to be able to discuss a scripture with others and get a different perspective. I think as long as you are getting something out of the way you choose to study that is all that matters.
ReplyDeleteI keep a journal comprised of my thoughts and questions and then look to God's word for new insight or answers. I find this to be a great way to take time out of my day to reflect on my life and continue to develop my relationship with God.

I believe that you can study God's word alone or within a group. I personally gain more and understand the word more when I am in a small group setting. I helped lead a small group Bible study for my sorority in college and we would find a topic and make an outline referencing scripture related to that topic and what God teaches us based upon what the study was about. We loved meeting once a week and it was great insight for all of us young women!
