Welcome to God's Word! This interactive environment was created to help inspire those seeking to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord. To know the Lord is to understand where he came from and what his basis is for the life he has allowed us on this earth. Like any memorization task, learning a play, speech or verse all take practice and focus. Memorizing scripture is no different in the sense that it requires review, practice and a commitment to wanting to know God more.
This tutorial will walk you through different social media arenas to broaden your web-based knowledge in learning God's word. You will explore multiple avenues and participate in activities to assist you in learning the importance of why studying the Bible is an important element in practicing your faith. You'll also provide your own personal insight so that you can put your thoughts, ideas and beliefs to pen and paper (or in this case keys and soft docs) to verbalize your knowledge. The goal of this lesson is to not test how much you already know about the Bible, but to engage you to make Bible education a part of your daily routine and how you can do so in various ways.
Let's get started! To ease your worries of feeling overwhelmed with usernames/passwords or website links all will be provided to you on this blog under the post "Access". On the main blog you will see each activity required of you to complete this lesson addressed in a "new post" (most current post will be at the top). The Bible Gateway Verse of the Day is posted on the main blog daily through an RSS feed.
An important element of this lesson is to understand that bible verse memory is really to benefit YOU and your personal relationship with the Lord! It takes your effort and faith to put this lesson to work for YOU! So with that being said in a real world environment there would be no timeline restrictions to completing the tasks outlined for this lesson. However, so that we can hold you accountable you will be required to participate and complete tasks over a 3-day period. Your activity will be measured by your contributions to posts by commenting, participating in videos/activities.
1. View You Tube video and leave feedback/comment (monitored by instructor).
2. Read 2 articles and leave feedback/comment (monitored by instructor).
3. Follow RSS Bible Gateway Verse of the day feed on main blog.
